Adding SSD to a Node

KS / KS 5000U / KSa 5008U

After the first-time deployment, you can add one or more drives to each node when needed.

Note:
  • Make sure the total number of the drives on a node must be four or a multiple of four (i.e. eight, twelve, etc.) after the addition.
  • If a SSD contains data that belongs to another node or another cluster, make sure you have backed up the data. After being added, the old data will be cleared.
  • If you remove any SSD from a node, install and add a new one to replace the original one.

Prerequisites

Make sure the drives are installed into the slots on your node.

Procedure

  1. Go to EonOne for KS > Settings > Node > Nodes.
  2. Go to the Node list section.
  3. Select the desired node entry. Click More > Add drives.
  4. Check and select one or more SSDs.
  5. Click OK to add the selected SSDs.
